In April, Renewal was ecstatic to have another opportunity to travel to Tijuana, Mexico and lend another family our building and remodeling expertise. Our 23 volunteers partnered with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and worked tirelessly over a weekend alongside the Silva-Sosa family to build them a home.

In April, Renewal was ecstatic to have another opportunity to travel to Tijuana, Mexico and lend another family our building and remodeling expertise. Our 23 volunteers partnered with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and worked tirelessly over a weekend alongside the Silva-Sosa family to build them a home.

The task list was vast: from framing and roofing, to painting and grocery shopping and furniture assembly, but our volunteers had no qualms stepping up to make sure everything was completed. Jose Samuel, Maria, and their children assisted with the entire process, and even little 2-year-old America Briyith helped paint! This humbling, fulfilling, and emotional experience not only made a lasting change for this family, but a lasting impression on our volunteers. “Just knowing you were a part of changing a family’s life forever” was so meaningful and rewarding.
